Lisa James in a member of my club — she’s a makeup fantastic. Watching her at a recent editor’s luncheon, I could see her eyes glow (no pun intended with reference to B-glowing) as she held various makeup items she’d brought to show us, and talked about them with the same type of enthusiasm and excitement I would feel for a new and nifty product. Lisa is also the creator of B-glowing, an online E-site with 145 (and growing) carefully curated beauty brands. B-glowing will make every beauty enthusiast glow as well, inside and out, top to bottom, and I’m not kidding. Here’s why:
I don’t normally review or recommend e-commerce beauty sites for many reasons. I think shopping is a very personal choice, and I have other solid reasons why I don’t like to call out a specific retail site, but B-glowing has really won me over. They have brands that you don’t just all everywhere else , and in those large beauty retail and E-tail sites (you know them, and I don’t have to say their names). While B-glowing has plenty of products you already know and know, what excited me was the availability of products that even a beauty editor could delight in. They have some boutique brands that make me feel like a beauty insider for a change. There’s nothing more exciting, especially if you are into beauty products, than to discover something really new and different that no one else you know has tried. This is especially great if you don’t live in an area with a lot of beauty store options. B-glowing will make you feel like an innovator!
At the editor’s event I attended, our sample bag had products from brands such as Olie Biologique, Mio, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Fekkai, and Soap Stones by Pelle, just to name a few. Three additional products that were in our sample bag that I am crushing on, big time, and that I didn’t know about, are below — and you can get them on B-glowing right now! This feature might sound a bit like I’ve been paid to gush, but I haven’t gotten a dime for this (ok, I did get some beauty products, but I get those every single day so that’s not an incentive, actually, they are just the tools I need to do my job) — I am just very, very impressed with the selection, quality, and overall presentation of B-glowing, and I’m writing an honest review.
- Ellis Faas Hot Lips $35 – these slim intensely pigmented lipsticks in silvery cases are amazing to look at and amazingly long lasting on your lips. Hot Lips is ELLIS FAAS’ latest revolutionary texture for the lips. Because it’s absolutely packed with pigment, you’ll only need a tiny bit of the non-greasy Hot Lips to add vibrant color. All Ellis Lips products are suitable for every skin tone, age and style. • Available in nine shades, • Paraben-free, • Non-sticky, • No animal testing– so in love with these!
or these Lipstick Queen Lava Liquid Lipsticks $24 – my girl crush Poppy King has created Vesuvius, the world’s most luxurious liquid lipstick. These are also long lasting, non stick, highly pigmented, and in six glamorous shades from nearly bare to red, enriched with Jojoba Oil to moisturize and antioxidant Vitamin E nourish.
Another brand I’d never heard of and now I adore, is LVX. This $16.00 bottle of nail polish is extraordinary.Runway colors that you’re not going to find in your local nail salon, and they’re also vegan-friendly, cruelty and five-free product. ‘ Editors were going nuts for “Graphite,” a not quite grey metallic that will take your through 4 seasons, fashionably.
B-Glowing also has a wide range of fragrance you might not find in your home town store, ranging from inexpensive (e.g. a mere $12.00) to luxurious, including: . Rodin Olio Lusso Perfume, Kai Perfume, VOLUSPA, Juliette Has A Gun,Yosh Perfumes and many more. There is a fragrance sampling program as well. This is really smart, because you don’t want to “Guess” at what something smells like, even if there is a 30-day money back guarantee. Filtering by type is easy, too. And they have skincare, men’s products, both & body products, hair care (check out the fabulous Fekkai Brilliant Glossing travel kit with shampoo, conditioner and styling creme — a great way to sample a luxe line, for just 4q15).. There’s even a sale section (*I spied one of my favorite solid fragrance by Tocca there–swoon and grab)!.
Speaking of samples, you get three freebies with every order, and free shipping if your order is over $75.00 (I’m guessing it will be when you see the beauty booty on this site).
There is really an eye-full to see on B-glowing, so give yourself some time to enjoy it. It is well organized, with what’s new, special selections, video gallery, staff picks, and much more. If you get overwhelmed, there is even trained professional who can answer questions or help you find products and she’s accessible by phone or email.
As a beauty editor, I don’t normally buy many products, but I’ve been sneaking peeks at B-glowing. Yes, definitely I’d shop there. I know you will, too! http://www.b-glowing.com/
