Beautypress Spotlight Day Brings New Products to Editors @Beautypress #beautypress #SpotlightDay @Spadaroperfume @mailynspas @DermOrganic @Bloheartsyou @CliqueByRoble

There is always something special to discover at a BeautyPress Spotlight Day. Created for beauty editors, these showcases bring companies and editors together to introduce new products, and help make new connections.  I always discover something new at these events.  At the end of February, with light snow flurries dusting the ground outside the MidTown Loft, editors greeted each other, and got a chance to see some really interesting items. Here are some of my favorites :

CLIQUE by Roblé   Fragrance and food go hand in hand for BRAVO’s Celebrity Chef Roblé Ali and renowned Perfumer Frank Voelkl (Firmenich). CLIQUE by Roblé is a new fragrances that incorporates notes from one of  Roblé’s cocktails. CLIQUE by Roblé opens with sparkling citrus cocktail notes, including blood orange, lime, triple sec, tequila, a pinch of salt, and spicy chipotle peppers. A complex floral heart explodes with wild jasmine, violet, tuberose and iris. The entire creation is enveloped by a base of Roblé’s signature dessert, French Toast Crunch, featuring challah bread, cornflakes, cinnamon, salt, honey, rich chocolate and powdered sugar.  The overall fragrance is fruity and floral, and stays on your skin for a long time–lovely! The name, CLIQUE by Roblé, is inspired by Roblé’s love of bringing people together. I liked the sleek lines of the bottle, too!  The line isn’t quite ready for launch, but it soon will be.  1.7 Fl. Oz. / 50 ml Eau de Parfum. SRP $59.50; 5.0 Fl. Oz. / 150 ml Body Butter: Cocoa, Shea and Olive Oil rich moisturizing cream. SRP $32.50; 6.7 Fl. Oz. / 200 ml Shower Gelée : very gentle, SLS-free, luxurious shower formulation. SRP $28.00   www.CLIQUEbyRoble.com

spad01_002com-spadaroThe Spadro fragrance booth was very busy, and I didn’t really get a chance to smell all the fragrances, but I know that the inspiration for these scents are the places the Kim Spadoro has visited.  At the Beautypress Spotlight day a new, fresh Eau De Parfum “Beso Del Mar”® (Kiss of the Sea) was showcased – $95.00′  Luxury Shower Gel –$45.00;  Luxury Bar Soap – $22.00;  Fragrance Candle –$45.00 The scents I did get to briefly sniff (not to sample, however) were spicy and enticing. A nice touch is that Spadaro Luxury Fragrances pays it forward by giving a portion of every sale to “The Spadaro Foundation” which reaches out those in greatest need both domestically and globally.I hope we’ll get a chance to try and review these luxurious and exciting fragrances in the not too distant future. www.spadaro.com

derm001com-dermorganic-pure-argan-oil

I love Argan oil for it’s soothing and softening properties, but it can be heavy. I was impressed with the full line of hair and skin care from DermOrganic®. Their 100% Pure Argan Oil is gentle and can be used as a daily base moisturizer, as an intensive skin treatment, to calm troubled skin, to repair split ends, to smooth out frizz and break up curls, softening the nail cuticle, and as a luxurious bath and body oil.I also like that the DermOrganic® 100% Pure Argan Oil is sourced directly from six different local Moroccan Women’s Cooperative, and each batch of Argan Oil made by DermOrganic® can be traced back to the individual tree and harvest from which it was grown,  and contributes directly to improving the socioeconomic and educational status of its community. And the products are packaged in a 100% post-consumer recycled plastic bottle! DermOrganic® lets you feel good about looking good.  1.7 fl oz (50ml) – Retail $36. The products are also:  • Vegan • No animal testing • No artificial preservatives • Gluten-free & paraben-free • Made without sulfates, salt, sodium chloride, MEA, DEA and artificial colors • Free from propylene glycol, lanolin & mineral oil • pH balanced just like your skin (4.5 – 5.5). beautypressmarilyn

Marilyn Monroe Spas was offering manicures to editors, but with a bit of a twist: these spas offer single use tools and nail polishes, so you know that everything they’re using on your hands (or feet) are clean. The spas also offer makeup application, blowouts, facials and body treatments, and they have a line of skincare and makeup, too. They have bridal packages are more.  Who wouldn’t want to “be wonderful” as Marilyn was? Marilyn sang: “diamonds area  girls’ best friend,”  but a best friend and a spa day for the two of you, is priceless!  Visit MarilynMonroeSpas.com

beautypressmeYou have to love a blow-dry bar that sports pink and white buttons proclaiming: “Blo Me.”  But Blo, North America’s Original Blow Dry Bar, offers catwalk-quality hair styling with 7 signature styles to choose from, for $40.00.  Blo has franchises all over the place, including two in Manhattan, one in Long Island, Four in Los Angeles, and in other cities around the USA. There are locations in Canada, England, and even one in Moscow, Russia! At the Beautypress event, editors were getting quickie touch-ups to their hair (myself included), but the actual blo-service is about 45 minutes (it is a wash and blow-dry).  From what I could tell, the service looks pretty fab! visit www.blomedry.com
