Streamline Your Summer Hair With Pureology’s Cleansing Condition: a New Collection of Conditioners that Cleanse, Hydrate, Soften and More!
The Summer isn’t a season for spending a lot of time in the shower and with your blow dryer. “Beachy” is best, and you can save time and get great hair by using one (or all) of Pureology’s new Cleansing Condition multi-tasking formulas in pump bottles every other shower or so. The low-lather formulas gently cleanse (in other words, your hair isn’t going to feel “sqeaky clean” but they also give you a big dose of cleansing conditioner so you don’t have to do a mask or deeper conditioner. In addition, the sun, sea, sand, salt, chlorine, sweat and even suntan products can really fade your hair color quickly, and these help to protect the hair cuticle. A healthy cuticle helps prevent color molecules from escaping so it stays on your hair longer instead of being washed away. And if heat and humidity make your hair into a “frizz ball” then “beachy babe” hair is for you on those days when you know there is no product on Earth to save you from frizz. These cleansing conditioners are rally low-lather so they don’t strip away your hair’s natural oils. That means while your hair looks more “beachy” it also won’t end up wispy, floaty or frizzy. the “day after” cleansing look is in, anyway!
So swap your favorite shampoo for one of the following nifty new Pureology Cleansing Conditioners once or twice a week. They’re simple, they smell nice, and there are three different types, but anyone can use it — here’s what you do:
- Wet hair thoroughly
- Pump enough Cleansing Condition to cover your hair and massage in. You won’t feel a lather – it will feel rich and creamy
- Leave in 2-3 minutes and rinse thoroughly

STRENGTH CURE CLEANSING CONDITION. I like this one as well. The key ingredients in this version of the Cleansing Conditioner is Asta-RepairTM with astaxanthin, a powerful nature-derived antioxidant and Keravis, Ceramide and Arginine to help heal micro-scarred cuticle and repair damaged hair. Basically it’s for people who have really over-treated their hair with chemical processes, but again, I think it’s really a super-treatment for anyone who needs extra conditioning. If you’re been swimming in chlorine or have baked your hair in the sun too much, or it’s been over-salted in the sea, or for any reason whatsoever and your hair feels like it’s about to crack or it’s really dry, this is the one you’ll want to choose. *check out the Advice Sisters review of Pureology Strength Cure
SMOOTH PERFECTION CLEANSING CONDITION. I hadn’t tried this one before, but since I have color treated hair and plenty of frizz, I couldn’t wait to give it a try. Like the other two cleansing conditioners, this one has some special key ingredients: Camellia Oil to moisturize and condition to improve elasticity and Shea Butter for nourishment, softness and smoothing. Although like the other two, it’s targeted for those with distressed, damaged and/or color treated or chemically treated hair, it’s a nice treatment and a way to multi-task and bring out the “big guns” when you’re looking for a bit of a beachy look, and you want to deal with Summer’s heat and humidity.
