These days The Advice Sisters are believing that a picture is worth a thousand words, so we’re offering you photos of Kate Somerville’s sun and after sun protection skin tips featuring some of her popular products, some of which we have reviewed in the past.
The one Kate Somerville product I really can’t live without right now is the IllumiKate CC Cream Broad Spectrum SPF 50+ . This simple tube of goodness for your skin comes in a 1 Fl. Oz. tube for $48.oo. It comes in four colors: Fair., Light, Light/Medium and Medium. I normally use a Light/Medium but the “Light” I was sent was sheer enough to cover and still blur imperfections and blend in with my skin tone. There are brightening agents such as Arbutin, Licorice Extract. and Natural Amino Acids help improve and even out skin tone for a more luminous, younger looking skin (over time), and Moisturizing Sodium Hyaluronate minimizes water loss . What really makes this product super-nice is the whopping SPF 50+ which makes it ideal for daily use and for when you’re going to be out in the sun for longer periods of time. It is a perfect travel companion. The active ingredients are: Octinoxate, 7.5%, Octisalate, 5.0%, Oxybenzone, 3.0%, and Titanium Dioxide, 6.6% for full, broad spectrum UVA/UVB sun protection. I found that the product does left a little bit of a sheen on my skin, but it was minimal. Use it for a light to medium coverage on the days when you just want a natural look or use it over a serum, too.
According to the Kate Somerville web site, * 100% of women reported that, when they used this product, their skin appeared luminous and their skin looked and felt moisturized all day long. * 71% of women said their lines and wrinkles appeared less visible. (*Results based on an independent Clinical Study). That is impressive. Obviously, your skin is not like anyone else’s an your results may vary, but it’s still a beautifying, sun-protective product that slips easily into your purse. You can use it once a day (you should re-apply if you touch your face often, or you are out in the sun for prolonged periods of time). For more information visit the Kate Somerville Web Site.
