L’Oreal Mythic Oil Makes Hair Magic! @LOrealProUS

As the days get colder and shorter, your skin and hair get drier.  Additional damage comes from continual use of heat styling tools, hair dye, and other chemical treatments.  One day you feel your hair and it’s no longer silky and soft, and it looks dry and frizzy.

While hair sabateurs can ruin the way your hair looks and feel, there are ways to get the soft, silky, non-frizzy feeling back onto your head, thanks to nearly “mythical” hair restoratives.  For example, L’Oreal Professionnel’s Mythic Oil.

For thousands of years, women have been anointing themselves with nourishing plant oils.  Fast forward to now.  L’Oréal Professionnel introduces three new luxurious oil treatments customized to address specific hair needs— detangling, color protection and discipline, to compliment the versatility of  their original Mythic Oil Nourishing Oil.

I don’t know about you, but while I have no problem slathering some oils on my body, I think that putting oil on my head would be a bad idea. But oils formulated for your hair (not just any oil salad or cooking oil) can do wonders for your hair, as long as you select the right one.  Complementing the original L’Oreal Professionnel Mythic Oil Nourishing Oil, which delivers the lightweight nourishing properties of Avocado and Grape Seed Oils,  area three luxurious treatments:

1.     Mythic Oil Reinforcing Milk – Inspired by Cleopatra’s legendary milk and honey baths, this product is a multi-tasking detangler, frizz-smoother and strengthener for all hair types. Strengthening Royalactin from royal jelly, a rare protein-rich ingredient, and Passiflora Oil, a vitamin-rich extract from the Passion Fruit Flower, nourish and detangle hair. Use as a detangler, a strengthening pre-blow dry treatment, or a finishing shine product –especially good for those with fine hair.

2.     Mythic Oil Colour Glow Oil – Preserve color-treated or sun-distressed hair with this olor protectant. Linseed Oil, extracted from an ancient Mediterranean flower, is high in Omega-3 fatty acids and known for illuminating haircolor. Cranberry Oil, rich in protective antioxidants, and UV filters protects haircolor from fading. Use as a protective blow-dry treatment, and as a finishing product to add vibrancy and shine.

 3.     Mythic Oil Rich Oil – Two precious oils from the ancient world deliver deep hydration, manageability,  and shine to otherwise unmanageable hair. Infused with Rice Bran and Argan Oils this luxuriously rich emulsion absorbs into hair for a smooth, manageable style. As a finishing product it provides discipline and frizz control without any greasy residue. Add a teeny bit to dry hair as a finishing touch to keep frizzies at bay, and add shine.

I really like the packaging and the fragrance that combines orange blossom, musk, jasmine and green lemon. And I really liked trying these different, emollient treatments.  But unless you really like the “wet /beachy” look on your hair, don’t go overboard when you use the products.  See how your hair reacts to it and how much you feel comfortable with.  Start with a small amount.  I should have used about a dime’s worth for my hair of each of these when I tested them, but I added more like a quarter’s worth, and it was too much. I loved the way my hair felt and smelled, but I felt like  turning right around, going back into the shower, and re-washing my hair.   Yes, my hair felt amazing, but excess is not always the best way to go.  A tiny bit at a time, is a good thing!

The suggested retail price for all items is $32.00. On average hair of an average length, a little will last you for months, so it’s a good value.  Visit your favorite authorized L’Oreal Professionnel Salon, and learn more on the L’Oreal Professionnel Official Web site: http://us.lorealprofessionnel.com
