Purelogy, give me strength!

Strength and treatment for my hair is what I’m craving, and what I’m getting, with a line line of products called  Pureology Strength Cure, a boon for women who have micro-scarred/damaged, color treated hair.

Readers, you know I am a fan of Pureology products, but it’s important to get the right type of product to address whatever your particular hair issues might be.  And right now, I need strength!  My hair feels weak and it’s breaking more than usual., So that makes me part of the more than 74% of women who use heat styling and chemical products such as hair color who need a little more help from their hair products. The new Pureology Strength Cure line helps to repair and protect from damage with something new called “Asta-Repair™”.  It has Astaxanthin, a powerful nature-derived antioxidant, and Purelogy’s exclusive AntiFade Complex, for beautiful color-treated hair.  It also has Keravis, Ceramide and Arginine help replace the cysteine bonds and heal the micro-scarred cuticle to restore strength and velvety softness.  Again, according to Purelogy, people reported 97% Improved Hair Strength After Only ONE  Use of the Strength Cure Shampoo, Condition, and Split End Salve!*

Pureology’s tag line is: ”Serious Colour Care” and they deliver on that! Pureology products all feature a signature, Anti-fade Complex that is full of antioxidants and full spectrum UVA/UVB sunscreens, plus Vitamins C and E that help protect hair from heat damage as well as the rays of the sun that can fade and damage your hair and its color. All the Pureology hair care products have the anti-fade complex as well, and all Pureology products are 100% vegan, and never tested on animals. But while all of Pureology’s products deliver salon quality results at home, the sulfate-free products deliver salon quality results, even though the products are higher end that some of the popular brands.   The Strength Cure Shampoo is $27.00 for 8.5 oz and the conditioner is $29.00 for 8.5 oz.  If you add the superb Strength Cure Restructuring Masque it’s $50.00 for 5. oz, even though you probably don’t need to use this more than once a week, or bi-weekly (depending upon the condition of your hair–massage onto hair and leave 5 minutes). The Strength Cure Split End Salve is a leave-oin treamtnet I really like, but it too is high end at $28.00 1.7 oz.  The final product in the line is Strength Cure Fabulous Lengths.  Pump a bit of this onto damp hair to help deal with breakage and ad shine.  1-2 pumps does the trick, but it’s $28.00 3.4 oz.

pureology strenth cureThere is just something so satisfying about Pureology products.  They look nice they smell nice and they work.  This particular duo of  Shampoo and Conditioner made my dry hair  come to life again, without coating it or making it too greasy.  It is very hydrating so  I’d probably use this once or twice a week, and switch off with another Pureology Shampoo (I particularly like Hydrate and Nano Works).  The masque and leave-in conditioner are both excellent, if you have room in your beauty budget for a bit of a splurge. However, if your hair needs help, it’s less of a splurge, more of a must-have.
