What’s your most essential beauty product?

Some say it’s lipstick or lip gloss.

Others  won’t leave the house without mascara.

We know plenty of women who don;t really wear a lot of color cosmetics, but they don’t leave home without fragrance, or hand cream, or without moisturizing.

And The Advice Sisters think everyone  needs to wear SPF every day all day no excuses!

But Clarins has produced a limited edition Eye Palette called: ‘The Essentials’ ($45.00) that might be the one essential thing you don’t want to leave off your holiday list, especially when you’re thinking about what you’re going to use to glam up your look for New Years Eve, and all those hot dates between now and Valentine’s Day.

The long, thin palette, is festooned with gold, brown and red stripes, and inside there’s a petite mirror, plus a nice, dual-ended eye shadow brush .

But it’s the ten earthy shades from light to medium deep in matte, satin, and pearl finishes and containing good for your skin mineral and plant extracts (93% of the raw materials used in these formulas are of natural origin), that give you a glamorous yet wearable range of options for your eyes for day and night.  The colors can be worn sheer or (fairly) intense, but the shapes of taupe, gold, copper and brown are not gaudy or challenging to create pretty looks.  There is a cello overlay that numbers the colors one through ten, and the shows you where you can place those colors for two different looks, but honestly, you can’t go wrong just using a light, medium and dark shadow in the most traditional of applications, either.  The palette itself is hard sided paper, created as part of Clarins’ initiative to minimize  environmental impact with  carefully-selected materials and reusable packaging. Clarins has joined forces with Pur Projet so by purchasing ‘The Essentials’ Eye Palette you will also help support Clarins’ initiative to preserve the Brazilian Kuntanawa culture and ecosystem by planting 10,000 trees known for their medical and cosmetic properties. Who doesn’t want to do some good, while looking even better?!
