Not everything in today’s world is better, but some things like modern technology, really help make life more pleasurable. For example, technology has made laser skin treatments even easier, safer, faster and incredibly effective. A new laser called the halo Fractional Laser by Sciton offers the promise of radiant skin and reduced sun damage in one treatment in less than an hour. I tried it. There is so much to share about this treatment, the experience, and the results, I’ve split this Halo Review feature into three parts. This is Part 1 which tells you about what the halo laser is and what it does. Part 2 describes the actual treatment. Part 3 is about the post treatment and results, plus the bottom line of the experience. To get all the information you need to decide if this treatment is right for you, I encourage you to take the time to read all three parts in order.
What is a halo fractional laser, and what does it do? It combines two different wavelengths to target both the upper and lower layers of skin. A single 30-minute session treats fine lines, wrinkles, pores, acne scares, skin tone and texture; generating youthful skin that glows. It is touted to precisely target years of damage to your skin, including: Discoloration; Sun damage; Visible signs of aging; Uneven skin tone; Enlarged pores; Poor texture; and Fine lines. What’s great about this treatment is that it’s not one size fits all. It can be personalized to suit the needs of each individual, because our skin is not all the same.
Halo is not just a fast vist to the Doctor’s office, it can be used on just about any skin type. This is a real plus, because those with deeper skin tones could not always get a good result from earlier laser treatments. And Halo is not just fast, but it’s effective. In the past, laser treatments that could even attempt to approximate what the halo does, required multiple treatments, if they could do it at all. As as beauty reviewer, I have tried many treatments including the Fraxel laser. It removed a lot of sun damage and smoothed out discolorations in my skin. However, the treatments had to be scheduled weeks to allow my skin to heal, and there was a lot of downtime. The process took months, and the laser treatments were a bit uncomfortable, even with numbing cream and pain medication
