Pack a Fashion Punch with the new M.A.C. Cosmetics Fashion Pack Collection Summer 2016
Barbie would swoon and so do we, because Summer is so pastel and pretty, and these colors are bold and bright and just plain fun. Two 9x Eye Shadow Palettes, Fluideline eye liners, 2 nail polish colors and four lipsticks to brighten your days and nights on the runway, in selfies, or wherever you want to make a statement. The collection launches online today, and in stores in a couple of weeks.
Here’s what M-A-C- Cosmetics says: “Lead the way with a new wave of front-row worthy hues. Fuchsia, violet, emerald, deepest plum, midnight…ready to wear, any way we dare! So, be a doll and show us how — the Fashion Pack is always in the know.” -MAC
The Advice Sisters know you buy M-A-C- not just for high-performance makeup, but also because they let you make a fashion statement.
The two MAC Fashion Pack Eye Shadow x 9 Palettes ($32.00/each) for example. There’s a palette of mostly mauve, grey and purple with a pop of bright pink shimmer in the middle. And the other palette “She’s a Model” is adore, a seemingly serene collection of Earth tones, but there is a glittery teal surprise at the right bottom corner, plus a deep purple and a bright yellow (oh, I love this yellow!) to make the earth tones, pop!

Enhance the look with some new M-A-C Fluidline Pens ($22.00 each) FLUIDLINE PEN
Retro Black: black
Indelibly Blue: deep navy blue
Privet: sea green
These are actually fairly easy even if you’re like some of us, non-eyeliner skilled. Fluidline pens Fluidline Pens are highly-pigmented liquid liners that have ultra-fine brush tips, so you don’t have to worry about an uneven line. Dries quickly and it’s smudge-resistant with a matte finish. We tried “Privet” billed as sea green, but it’s much deeper, almost a teal that works really well with the “She’s a Model” 9X Eyeshadow Palette.
And there are four lipsticks, love them or not. We “Tried Aim for Gorgeous,” a Bright, bold, intense, creamy and matte fuschia that I honestly didn’t think would flatter anyone but the coolest complexions, but it was fun for perking up that still, Winter-weary skin, and with a tan –ooh la la! (just make sure it is a faux tan, lease). Judging from the rest of the colors, there’s something for everyone, from those who love nude, to the bold colors of fuschia, red and hot pink. Like many of M-A-C’s collections, these are cool toned so they tend to look more appealing on cool skin, but also dramatic on those with pale and warm skin.
M-A-C- Nail Lacquer ($12.00) is always easy to love, because it you don’t dig it you can dismiss it without too much trouble or investment. We did try “Like My Gown” which is the bright fuschia (M-A-C- describes it as a “Dirty Reddish Purple creme). Try as we might, we can’t quite get ourselves to do a metallic golden green frost. But there’s something for everyone, and we know all you “garden sprites” will be sporting the “Style Matters” Metallic green frost polish, with gusto!
