The temperature may still be steamy, but Autumn is nearly here.
So we thought we’d suggest a few clever things that don’t just cover up flaws, but actually do great things to enhance your beauty
(in a more substantive way)
A Nourishing All Natural Lash-Enhancer for Vegans
Brush-tipped tubes of product that help to make your lashes, lush, are nothing new, but vegaLASH is formulated with a patent-pending combination of bio-active phytomolecules that supposedly, naturally open up and restore the communication channels between your dermal papilla and your lash follicles. The company claims results in as early as 15 days if you use this product morning and evening.
Where is the List?
The claim is: “This hormone-free, latex-free, hypoallergenic serum is comprised of a natural, vegan formula for safe and effective results and is gentle enough for sensitive eyes.”
We love this but we couldn’t find a list of ingredients on the vegaLASH website. We queried our press contact who asked VegaLAsh and got definitive answer: The ingredients are as follows: WATER, PENTYLENE GLYCOL, PROPYLENE GLYCOL, GLYCERIN, BUTYLENE GLYCOL, ?MAGNOLIA OFFICINALIS BARK EXTRACT, GELLAN Gum, TRIFOLIUM PRATENSE SPROUT EXTRACT, ?VIGNA RADIATA SPROUT EXTRACT, SODIUM BENZOATE, POTASSIUM SORBATE, DEXTRAN, ACETYL TETRAPEPTIDE-3, TRIFOLIUM PRATENSE FLOWER EXTRACT, and CITRIC ACID
That’s good to know. But it should be on the website. Since the product is new we are assuming this is a temporary omission but it must be fixed!
The Jury’s Still Out But As a Beauty Product, We Liked It
At $78.00 it’s not inexpensive but for those who must have an all natural vegan product it will be worth it. For others, it’s still a nice product.
We tried it, and had no issues (even with sensitive eyes). In fact, as a lash enhancer, it was great.

Help Heal Your Nails and Look Good Doing It!
We were introduced to Orly’s Breathable Treatment + Color Nail Polish this Summer at at Total Beauty Editor’s event and were excited to try it.
What makes this polish so exciting is that it gives you long wear but (as Orly puts it) the polish uses technology similar to that of a contact lens. The formula allows oxygen and hydration to penetrate through nails. This is supposed to help promote nail growth and help heal nails that are already damaged.
The new Orly Breathable Treatment + Color Nail Polish also has Argan Oil, Vitamins B5 and C to nourish nails.• An All-in-One product formulation with adhesion promoters and shine additives eliminates the need for a basecoat and topcoat.
We can’t quantify how much better your nails might be if you use this vs. another formula, but the idea makes plenty of sense.
Beauty Benefits for A Busy Lifestyle:
For those who like DIY results in a hurry, the formula doesn’t require that you add a basecoat and topcoat, but you’ll still get a really high shine and that longer wearing color.
It also dries very quickly.
If there’s a downside (really, there isn’t) it’s that the brush picks up a lot of color and you really have to wipe a lot of it off before you try to use it or you’ll apply too much to your nails at once. Try two thin coats…it’s all you need.
I tried three colors: Nourishing Nude is a super shiny nude that makes sad looking nails look like they’re wearing nude lingerie! Stronger Than Ever is a metallic berry (so trendy! Those who can’t live without a ravishing red will love the creamy Love My Nails with a bit of Pink. It’s not a blood red, but more the color of a lovely American beauty rose!
ORLY Breathable Treatment + Color will be available in 18 shades September 2016 and retails for $8.99 at ULTA, JC Penney, salons nationwide and at orlybeauty.com.
Also New from ORLY is the Mulholland Collection for Fall 2106. LALA Land folks already know the little town in Hollywood that inspired the collection. Mulholland Drive is home to some of the most exclusive and most expensive homes in the world.
- Mansion Lane – steel gray (Cream)
- Hillside Hideout – muted pink (Shimmer)
- Cahuenga Pass – red and orange (Cream)
- Million Dollar Views – bronze (Shimmer)
- Meet Me at Mulloland – dark brown (Shimmer)
- Party in the Hills – greenish gray (Glitter)
This color collection just so perfectly compliments the beauty of Fall. The “tweedy” tones are strong and not dull. . We love “Meet Me At the
We love “Meet Me At the Muhlholland,” a shiny base infused with a glorious amount of chunky copper glitter more brilliant than the sun bouncing off copper tinged leaves. The rest of the colors mimic the Autumn leaves and you’ll “blend,” beautifully.
You can get these in a wide variety of retailers, around $8.50. For more information visit the Orly Web Site
