It’s Good to be “Gilty” Temporary Tattoo Yourself
Body art is a high art by now, but not everyone wants it to last forever. When you want to “get inked” for a music festival, a party, or just because it’s fun, you can get the looks with temporary, remove-able tattoos that last a day or two. The new generation of temporary tattoos are nothing like the food coloring ink versions we used to get as kids that smeared and stained your skin with silly little photos. Today’s temporary tattoos are like jewelry for the body. Destination wedding? Adorn yourself with metallic designs that let you leave the expensive jewelry home, and still let you glitz up your look. Hot Date? Surprise someone special by showing a giltzy tattoo in a place only they can find! With swimsuit season coming up, you know you’re going to want these for the beach!
There are so many ways to wear these. The idea is to have fun because you can always remove them whenever you like!
Lulu DK temporary jewelry tattoos are inspired by real jewelry, artist and designer Lulu deKwiatkowski . They offer a really wide range of gorgeous, intricate, gold, silver metallic, and colored designs that you can mix and match, wear as bracelets or other body adornments and they last for a few days (aboutr 4-6 depending upon where you put them and what you are putting on your skin), or until you remove them (alcohol, baby oil, or or even fragrance with alcohol on a cotton pad or ball, will easier remove them).
What I love so much about the Lulu DK designs is that they are really sophisticated and incorporate colors like turquoise, white, safe and indigo into the individual pieces. as the first company to incorporate color with the shimmering gold and silver. The chic, nature inspired collections of wearable art feature hues such as turquoise, indigo, sage, and white. While I personally never even considered getting a tattoo that was permanent, I love the idea of using these as accent pieces to make a fashion statement. Temporary tattoos were all over the fashion week runways. This is also a fabulous find for younger girls who might want to try a tattoo as they are non-toxic and safe for people of all ages.
It was super easy and fast to apply the Lulu DK tattoo. Here’s how to do it:
Skin should be clean and free of oils and makeup.
- Remove the clear, protective top sheet.
- Cut out the desired tattoo from the sheet and measure it to fit your wrist.
- Press the tattoo firmly onto clean, dry skin with the design facing down.
- Hold a wet cloth against the back of the tattoo, and press down. Make sure to wet it thoroughly.
- Wait 30 seconds – don’t hurry!
- Peel off paper backing, and gently rinse tattoo with water for best effect.
- Enjoy your new Lulu DK Tattoo!
I tested out a bunch of these, and I couldn’t believe how fast and easy it was! And it was really fun to do. I got tons of positive comments There is so much room for personal expression since the sheets have large and small designs. Make a ring, a bracelet, or adorn your body in other ways. One of my favorite design collections is Wonderland ($28.00) with 3 sheets of different designs and accents of soft sage green. But when I applied one of the large, gold leaf designs to my hand it initially seemed like a great idea, then I realized as I flexed my hands a great deal it might crack (and it did). The lesson is that if you’re going to apply a large design, make sure you’re putting it somewhere on your body where it’s likely to remain relatively flat and undisturbed!
I bought these to a party and everyone instantly pounced! Get a bunch for your next girl’s night out, or in. You can get these amazing temporary tattoos on the Lulu dk web site
