Put a Ring IN it! #DiamondCandles
This stone is genuine like love should be-e-e-e
And if your baby’s truer than my baby was to me-e-e-e
This diamond ring can mean something beautiful
And this diamond ring can mean dreams that are coming true
And then your heart won’t have to break like mine did
If there’s love behind it
(from the song “This Diamond Ring” by Gary Lewis and the Playboys)
Around Valentine’s Day The Advice Sisters reviewed a candle called Lotta Love which had a similar idea, a line of scented candles with a little charm embedded in every candle, and the promise of a If you are really really lucky yours will be a diamond charm worth $10,000! Now we’ve just reviewed a line of scented candles called Diamond Candles, that really appeal to to ring girls.
Every Diamond Candle hides a special ring (in popular sizes), valued between $10 and $5,000! If you discover a 14k symbol inside the band, take it to a jeweler for a verbal appraisal because it is your lucky day. The tall glass votive has a secure top with a rubber ring to keep the scent in the candle lasting longer, and while it takes a while to get the ring out of the candle, I found that I could “unearth” mine in about two hours. Using a pencil tip once the wax was melted enough, I was able to lift the foil bag out of the candle. Once it was dried, it carefully unwrapped it and found a plastic bag with my ring carefully nestled inside.
I had hoped for a gold ring, and especially a diamond one, but, alas, I only got a metal band with a glass stone, but it’s pretty! I estimate the ring to be about a size eight. It’s a bit loose on my middle finger, but I think it’s nice!
There are a number of collections including fruity, fresh, classic, special events, and more in 12 oz and 21 oz sizes ($24.95 for the larger size). The Peachy Mango scented hand crafted soy candle I received for review was authentic smelling and pleasant, but not overpowering. I can see this as a really fun gift for a sweet 16 or as a shower or even a bridesmaids gift (there is even an anniversary version). It would make a fun thank-you to birthday gift too.
While I didn’t get an expensive ring in mine and I’m not sure what the odds are of getting one, that’s not really the point. The candle itself is well worth the cost of $24.95 with the excitement that something even better might be hiding, inside, priceless!
