“Back to School” does not mean the end of bug season!
As the days get shorter, some bugs seem to proliferate..and they like to bite you!
Needless to say, the sun isn’t going away either. The damaging UVA/UVB rays are out there every day.
Banish Bugs and Save Your Skin:
There’s a product that is so beloved, you probably know about it already. But just in case you don’t it’s Skin So Soft by Avon.
This iconic little miracle worker not only moisturizes your skin but it seems to repel bugs as well.
Broad Spectrum Sun Screen Plus Bug Repellant!
We know you love Skin So Soft but did you know that there are several types of Skin So Soft that also have sunscreen protection?
Avon’s Skin So Soft Bug Guard Plus IR3535® Gentle Breeze SPF 30 Lotion ($14,00 4 fl. oz.) offers skin-loving lotion that effectively repels mosquitoes, deer ticks, black flies, sand flies, gnats, no-seeums and biting midges. PABA-free and DEET-free. With vitamin E and aloe. 4 fl. oz.
It’s also PABA-free and DEET-free and has skin bennies thanks to Vitamin E and aloe.
When you look at the label of Skin So Soft Bug Guard Plus you see the words: “IR3535.” We didn’t know what it was, so we looked it up.
IR3535 is not a secret government program, or a long form you have to fill out for something…oh no! It is, in fact, a deet-free ingredient that provides repellency against a broad range of biting insects, including mosquitoes, deer ticks, black flies, gnats, no-seeums and biting midges.
Why Should You Use Avon’s Skin So Soft Bug Guard Plus IR3535?
This might seem like a bit of a “duh” question, but consider that the product can repel mosquitos that may transmit West Nile Virus and Zika (if you are really going to areas where these mosquitos are prevalent, however, we suggest using more powerful bug repellent just to be safe).
The product can repel deer ticks that may transmit Lyme Disease (and it’s that time of year if you’re tromping around and hiking in wooded areas where there are deer)
Who wants to be bothered by black flies, sand flies, gnats, no-seeums and biting midges (we certainly don’t)!
You should be protecting your skin with at least some SPF. The Bug Guard Plus has SPF 30 protection (thanks to 7.5% Octinoxate, 5 Octisalate and 6% Ocybenzone).• Non-comedogenic and non-acnegenic
Better yet, the lotion isn’t greasy, doesn’t smell, and is non-comedogenic and non-acnegenic plus it’s dermatologist-tested and hypo-allergenic
