I’ve been out of town, and I’m going out of town, again tonight. I want to wish all my readers a fantastic new years eve and a hopefu, happy new year in 2006. I will be back, blogging about the things that matter to adults, everywhere. Feel free to add a COMMENT and let me know the types of things that matter to you!
I am not making a new years’ resolution before the stroke of midnight, 2005. I always make resolutions but then forget about them the minute the champagne bottles have been placed in the recycle bin.
No, this year, I’m just planning to be the best person I can be without having to make promises I can’t keep, and that’s the only resolution I’m going to “own” as the year draws to a close.
What’s ahead for 2006? Well, when it comes to the Advice Sisters, my web sites http://www.advicesisters.net and http://www.advicesisters.com are going to have a new look in the coming months. My quarterly What Works Beauty Reviews http://www.advicesisters.net/whatworkscol3.html are going to become MONTHLY starting in January. I’ll be adding give-aways and other things as well! The Advice Sisters Enews (zine) will begin again, as long as my service provider doesn’t yank my domain and web site as they did the last time I sent it out, claiming I spammed someone (no one getting the zine is on the mailing list unless they signed up for it, so I know it was just a false claim to extort money from me–see earlier posts about Godaddy.com on this blog for the details). I will also be getting OFF GOdaddy.com as soon as I can manage an efficient and smooth transition.
As to myself? I am hoping to see sales of my latest book soar. That’s the Everything Dating Book 2nd Edition (adams media 2005). If you would like me to visit your home town to do a reading, a book signing, or appear on your local radio or television show, please do me the courtesy of letting the good folks who handle these things, know you want me to visit. If they ask, I WILL come (and thanks in advance for your interest and support). I am also hoping to finally get some of the chaos of my life in check. I am told by those wiser (and older) than me that life only gets more chaotic and complicated as you chalk up more years. I don’t know if that’s really true for everyone, but it does seem to be true, for me.
And for you? What hopes do you hold dear for the new year? Please leave a comment, and share your hopes and goals for 2006. When you do so, it makes them more real and brings you one step closer to accomplishing them.
Happy New Year to Everyone!
