I recently received a bunch of new and excellent new products from Clarins. The ones I’m reviewing in this blog post focus on pampering your Face and your Feet. There are also some that focus on your bustline, and I will be reviewing those soon. There are plenty of foot care treatments that will help replenish moisture to the rough skin on your heels and soles. But the Foot Beauty Treatment Cream $25.00 by Clarins, doesn’t just soften and soothe dry skin and renew tired feet, it also helps moisturize your toe nails. The formula boasts a potent cocktail of moisturizers such as virgin cashew nut oil, along with myrrh (to strengthen nails by helping them become more supple), arnica (to relieve swelling and fatigue), essential oil of thyme (to purify and clenase), and laponite powder (derived from silica for an antiperspirant action). This may sound like a heavy, super-emollient mix that could take time to absorb, but while it’s definitely moisturizing, it’s just the opposite of gooey or heavy — it’s a super-light lotion that absorbs super-fast, so it’s perfect for daily use. The scent is light and fresh, so you’ll actually like using it. If you want younger, smoother, healtheir, and pampered feet that look as good as they feel, check this product out!
Another must-have for right now and into the coming seasons, is Clarins Super-Restorative Wake-Up Lotion $40.00 that will deal a dose of TLC when you haven’t had a good night’s sleep, or you have resulting puffiness, and other skin sabateurs that hurt your great looks when you wake up in the AM. It has pueraria lobata (kudzu) to increase collagen production and soothe the surface of your skin. Green coffee extract (rich in caffeine) helps to re-energize and re-activate skin cells, while oat sugars to help tighten and smooth, hibiscus extract hydrates and brightens, , and butcher broom (Ruscus) reduces puffiness and gets rid of toxins. The sample I tried was as loose as a liquid, and almost clear, with a pleasing, lightly floral/herbal, scent. This is as product you apply as a first step before you apply your daily moisturizer and sun block. However, the extra effort is worth it if you hope for super-smooth skin (without puffiness or that creased look you can sometimes get from your sheets) that is more energized each morning.
Do you have $62.00 and ten minutes to spare? If so, you might want to try Clarin’s new, Super Restorative Replenishing Comfort Mask that revitalizes, nourishes and soothes mature skin. The light, creamy, peachy-pink product is a facial mask that has mango oil and shea butter that help to nourish, comfort and soften even dry, sensitive skin. The mask also has puraria labata (kudzu), oat sugars, khaki (to comfort, firm and replenish), plus parsley (rich in vitamin C) to help reduce dark circles, detoxify skin, and boost your skin’s glow factor). There’s also glycolic acid to gently exfoliate and leave your skin, glowing. I liked the fact that the mask goes on clear, (so you don’t scare little children, the mailman, or anyone else that happens in on you while you’re spa-in). It also has a lovely, lightly floral/herbal scent. The real value is in how my skin felt after the treatment–smoother and more glowing, without any redness or irritation. Everyone needs a little TLC, and this mask gives you that moment.
