Fashion Week Backstage Beauty-Nails at TRIAS 2/18/2010

I love this “greigze” color!

For the TRIAS runway show, Dashing Diva’s head nail tech Pattie Yankee and her team delighted the designer and models alike, with a unique, gray and beige mix of Dashing Diva’s grey colored “Astor Place, and taupe-ish colored “West Village.” It seemed so appropriate that these nail polishes were name for famous New York places, for one of the last shows of Mercedez Benz (New York) Fall Fashion Week 2010!

As Pattie explained, the designer wanted a subtle grey/brown shade for the nails to go with the natural earthy theme of the show. So, she mixed the grey Astor Place with the taupe West Village to create a hot mushroom Shitake shade. “Ooh, this is so pretty!” enthused a model
as i watched her examine her nails.

The color not only complimented the TRIAS line really well, it also will be available as a new color from Dashing Diva for your names, come Fall, The name is yet to be announced (it’s super-secret). But I’m liking it so much, I’ll be wearing it and calling it: “Advice Sisters Grey!”

HOT SCOOP: I asked Peggy Yankee what she thought would be hot trends for Fall (that you can follow now, or wait until the leaves are falling, once again). She thinks the “it” colors will be Dashing Diva’s grey and beige mix, metallics (more bronze-y), and navy.
