The shopping rush is on. If you’re planning to purchase anything in the makeup, beauty or fragrance area, you’ll be assaulted by people wielding spray bottles of scent, trying to lure you into their sales area for holiday specials.
But you don’t have to run the roller derby of the department store to get all the beauty and fragrance items you want and need. Simply slip on comfy clothing, pour yourself a glass of wine (or tea), crank up the tunes, and “order in” everything from an online web site like FragranceNet.com
Add the fact that you’re getting free shipping on every order over $70.00, and it’s really hard to resist –especially when you’re holiday shopping.
To be honest, FragranceNet.com and other online beauty sites weren’t really on my radar screen for a few years, because I was worried about promoting grey market goods. But when I bumped into a table for FragranceNet.com at an event called the Holiday LookBook, and then found them a few weeks later at a beauty event, I realized that they are not just reliable sources for genuine products, they really offer discounts and service. That got me thinking about the reasons why shopping online, particularly for beauty items and fragrances you know and love, makes good sense.
Online shopping is becoming more popular than ever. FragranceNet.com’s own stats say that their site is viewed by over 15 million people a year. In fact, Women’s Wear Daily touts them as one of the top 10 most visited beauty sites on the net. So you’re in good company if you shop there.
And, at holiday time, the stores are crowded, and people are, despite what the media portrays on television, really not all that full of holiday cheer–they’re just plain irritable and tired! When you shop online, you can do it when you want, where you want, and how you want. In speaking with the FragranceNet.com representatives, I learned that even perennial procrastinators can benefit from online shopping. FragranceNet.com is located in Long Island, New York. They’ll ship last minute overnight if you live in New York and within a few days elsewhere. If you forget someone and need a gift, fast, or if you just tend to wait for the last minute, than panic, you can still get your holiday gifts ordered, gift wrapped (fee starting at $3.99), and delivered on time. FragranceNet.com ships over one million packages worldwide each year, so they know what they’re doing.
With all those beauty and fragrance items to choose from, you might think that it would be hard to negotiate the web site. But it isn’t. It’s attractive and user-friendly, and it has something for literally, everyone. I found my favorite fragrances right away (some at a good discount), and had fun checking out oldies and classics, and items that not everyone can get easily, even by pounding the pavement. Be aware that some of the items you might want are offered “unboxed” which means they may have been over-runs from gift sets. The packaging and even the actual bottle might look different, even though the fragrance inside is the same. The unboxed scents are usually less expensive, so you can get the unboxed for you, and the boxed version for gifts. .
But the thing that will attract many online shoppers is the fact that FragranceNet.com discounts many items. Some of these discounts are substantial. But just like other “off-price” stores, FragranceNet.com is buying directly from official sources. There isn’t any of that “it fell of the truck” stuff going on — they just buy a lot of product and can also snag over-runs, so you get the savings.
