Yes, it’s true, Guido we love you and always enjoy your in-person explanations of the latest hair trends. Our take-away from your presentation for new trends? First, we learned that women need to embrace their individuality and try being more natural with their looks. In fact, you suggest women sleep on their damp hair and then assess it in the morning to see if their totally natural look is great, or will it need some tweaking. You also emphasized that the 2016 hair look trends are leaning more towards more “natural” and less “blow-out” perfect. This is going to be great news to women who want to stop flat ironing and blow drying their hair into absolute submission no matter what their texture is. However, a natural, undone look still takes effort and also styling products. Natural doesn’t mean don’t do anything….
“There are different personalities and there isn’t just one type of girl. It’s a concept that we’ve talked about for so many years that has finally come to fruition, which is the idea that a woman can be herself,” It’s a very positive message because it’s up to you – there are no rules in beauty anymore. There’s not this strictness, which is really liberating.” Guido, Redken Global Creative Director.
Redken showcased some of the products Guido used during the various fashion weeks at the holiday preview we attended. We’ll be reviewing them as they are available. Meanwhile, to make the Winter fly by just a bit faster, The Advice Sisters are starting off 2016 with a “Hair’s to Spring” recap, courtesy of Redken. I have selected three of my favorite looks above along with some of the products Guido used, but there is so much more .
