@lhbeauty, @MiraVosSF, @StrandsJewelry1,@CateandChloe, @Mujusnyc, @cookieleeinc, #ACTTopPicks, #Jewelry, #Holiday, #VIPBLingBuzz” Jewelry is the gift I most like to get, and to give, There are so many places you can go to purchase glamorous jewelry gifts to suit various budgets, but as I started to look around for what’s new, a lot of it really seemed to be attractive, but very uninspired. In this feature I’m suggesting truly unique jewelry that you won’t find in every department store and web site, and in different price points. Your only problem may be deciding which ones you can part with, and which you just have to keep for yourself!
Back in May the Advice Sisters did a full feature on Lisa Hoffman’s gorgeous and unique Fragrance jewelery We loved it then, but there have been some additions and improvements since our last review. For example, the clasp that holds the little fragrance beads in place has been upgraded. The fragrance charm has been completely redesigned to hold more beads and diffuse more fragrance. Using eco-friendly materials and revolutionary technology, the beads have been re-designed to deliver maximum fragrance in a minimalist design. The spherical shape of the beads combined with a proprietary scenting method allows for maximum fragrance throw and scent retention. What this means is that your Fragrance Jewelry was designed to be as fragrant as possible in the most efficient way. Also, now the fragrance charms simply snap closed without having to fuss with a tiny keyhole safety clasp.
Lisa Hoffman has added newer fragrances with coordinating Fragrance Jewelry: Kerala Ashok Garden and Brazilian Begonia:
FRAGRANCE: The Ashok blossom is prized for its lush fragrance and vibrant color and Ashok blossoms are a symbol of divine love and femininity. Inspired by this, Lisa Hoffman’s Kerala Ashok Garden features notes of India’s Ashok blossom with complementing notes of Deep Violet, Ripe Pear, Velvety Apricot, and Sheer Jasmine. It’s a soft and pretty fragrance, romantic and lovely. Get the Eau de Parfum ($65.00 2 fl. oz; $22.00 15 ml).
Lisa Hoffman Fragrance Jewelry has to be among the most feminine, romantic, and special I’ve ever encountered. Of course it make a lovely gift. The little jar of fragrance beads that come with your jewelry last for quite some time, and subtly release the scent as you wear it. I love the Kerala Ashok Garden Fragrance Necklace with scented beads $75.00 because I have never worn one of these necklaces without someone asking me about it. Wear it to a party and it’s a sure conversation starter (great, if you are shy). The Kerala Ashok Garden Bracelet ($75.00 –additional jar of fragrance beads $40.00) The Kerala Ashok Garden jewelry features vintage purple glass beads & silver beads, and a silver plated charm. The bracelet acts as a constant reminder to inhale bliss and exhale peace, but Highlighting the strength and femininity of Kerala Ashok Garden,There are also fine jewelry versions of the fragrance items, such as a truly pampering, Luxe Kerala Ashok Garden Bracelet $2,350.00
Just Launched in November, Brazilian Begonia Eau de Parfum ($65.00 2 fl. oz. $22.00 15 ml) has a light fresh scent with notes of Lemon-Lime, Creamy Sandalwood, Cedar, & Spicy Frankincense blend with Amber Musk, Sensual Vanilla, and Brazilian Begonia. What I really like about this fragrance is that it’s quite sophisticated and complex. When you are wearing it as fragrance jewelry, those spicier notes really show up as you move your body, even though the fragrance itself is not overly heavy. It’s spicy, floral, fruity, a melange of delights, beautifully blended. The Brazilian Begonia bracelet ($75.00) is really stunning, with soft blue, opaque, sodalite beads, flecked with vibrant white and yellow, studded with smooth, smaller, shiny, gold spacers. The bracelet features a new, larger universal fragrance charm (you can add about a quarter of the jar of fragrance beads into it at once time) and what’s really nice a bout this is that it also features all the little icons of all the fragrances from Lisa’s classic scents. The larger charm diffuses more fragrance and that makes it extra special, too. Since this fragrance is so new, the Brazilian Begonia scent only is available in the bracelet. I’m assuming more jewelry items are coming soon.
Obviously, you can get Lisa Hoffman Fragrance Jewelry in more designs and in many more scents For more information go to the Lisa Hoffman Beauty Website . Lisa Hoffman Fragrance Jewelry is also sold on HSN..
Another unique and romantic gift item this Mystic Pendulum Pendant ($335.00) item #MPGGPK100 crafted by Mira Vos SF, a San Francisco Based Jewelry Company. It’s actually their 2015 Valentine’s Day release, but it is available now. This was included in a sampling of items from Artisan Exchange (a group of artistic entrepreneurs who showcase and market their handcrafted products as a community).
Co-Founded in 2013 by Patrik Kusek (CCO) and Roxanne Goodfellow (CEO), the MiraVos design philosophy is to inspire jewelry fostered by a sense of place and belonging while encouraging local handcraft and the use of sustainable, socially responsible materials. This unusual pendant might just tell your future, or help you make that all important decision. from a beautiful, gold-filled, garnet studded gemstone rosary chain hangs a 4-sided 22K Gold-Plated Sterling Silver Pendulum with a double sided center connector featuring a carved question mark on one side and hand-carved texture on the other. Clasped by the MiraVos signature Faux Bois toggle, the pendant encourages the use of the age old practice of Pendulum Dowsing, a heart-centered method of seeking answers to questions of love, health and happiness. The piece arrives with dowsing instructions and two cards to use for dowsing questions. While this is a piece of jewelry, if you wish, you can use it for it’s other purpose — pendulums are best used for the answers to questions that would best be served by a “Yes” or “No” answer. A ‘YES’ answer is given when your Pendulum swings forward and back, the same way that you nod your head ‘yes.’ A ‘NO’ answer is given when your Pendulum swings left to right, the same way that you nod your head ‘no.’ It’s an unusual piece, beautifully crafted. It will make a lovely holiday gift, or save it for Valentine’s Day.
Sometimes small things look petty amazing up close and personal, like these Fiber Optic Sterling Silver & Swarovski Crystal Earrings ($60.00) from Strands. I received a part that were similar, done just in autumn colors of orange, gold, rust and red, with a pop of pink, but the design is the same (and this photo shows the detail much better). Swarovski crystals in eight different colors create little flashes of light at the end of thin sterling silver tubes hanging from sterling chain. The crystals are 4mm faceted beads and each sterling silver tube is approximately 1″ long hung from sterling silver ear wires. The overall length of the earrings is 3.” That is long enough to make a statement, but not so heavy or crazy that you can’t wear them in the daytime. Cookie Lee is one of those little hidden gems for jewelry purchases (no pun intended) that is sold through Cookie Lee “consultants” , often stay at home moms or women who want part-time jobs, or to raise money for a charitable cause. You can also purchase the items directly on the Cookie Lee Web Site. What stuck me about this line of fashion jewelry is that it looks like it would be fairly high quality from the photos, and in person, it didn’t disappoint me. For example, this Glossy Oxblood Moroccan Bangle ($36.00) has a hinged clasp, and is nicely enameled and finished with the sort of details you would expect from a bracelet costing a lot more. The round gold logo in the middle adds a nice touch and conceals (most of) the split in the bracelet — it’s a nice detail.
The Tortoise Links Marquise Pendant Necklace ($32.00) caught my eye because in a sea of “statement necklaces” this one is a little different, combining brushed gold metal chains with tortoise links for a daytime look, and sparkling crystals in clear and smoky quartz, for evening bling. and extender chain and lobster claw clasp lets you adjust the length (from 20″ to 25″) to fit over a sweater, or fill in a neckline. It looks like this necklace would feel heavy to wear, but it’s very lightweight. The rugged chains mixed with the delicate pendant makes a really unique look for day or evening, and of course, it would make a fabulous gift –and at a truly affordable price. For more information visit the Cookie Lee web site . After looking at all their beautiful offerings, maybe you’d want to become one of their consultants, and get discounts on jewelry for yourself, for gifts, and make some money, too.
At the Accessories Council holiday preview I spied this Gemma Necklace by Mujus $69.00. The necklace is made of thin slices of Tagua seeds, with a3″ metal extender and a lobster clasp that lets you wear it almost like a collar over a sweater or tee, or longer, draped over a dress. Tagua nut, also known as vegetable ivory (because it has a similar look and feel), is the seed of a tree that is similar to a palm tree. The fair trade necklace made by hand in Ecuador and Peru gives back by paying fair wages, providing health insurance to Mujus artisans, and facilitating social change for impoverished communities around Lima. In the US, this means collaborating with the ALS Association by designing a special collection to raise money for the fight against Lou Gehrig’s disease. That makes me love this amazing necklace even more, but it also just happens to look great in every color and on every woman I’ve seen wearing it. The necklace is named Gemma because each tagua slice gleams like a gemstone. I received this one in turquoise, but it also is available in 14 other brilliant colors. It’s a great gift for an eco-conscious woman, but believe me, it makes quite a statement -you’ll want one of these eye catching pieces for yourself. There are other Mujus designs and they’re all pretty amazing while they also help amazing causes. . Visit the Mujus Web Site.
