rock royalty smells like Juicy Couture
Guess how much the average woman spends on fragrance in her lifetime?!
According to a 2103 article in the Daily Mail the average woman will spend close to $5,000 on fragrance in her lifetime (and that’s not counting what she might accumulate as gifts). While the Daily Mail might not have conducted a purely scientific survey, what it points out is that most women really do love fragrance, and they collect a lot of it. They want to have different scents for different occasions. So when The Advice Sisters review a fragrance,I really want you to know what’s special about it and why you might want to add it to your collection.
Juicy Couture recently launched their newest limited edition scent, Juicy Couture Hollywood Royal. Before I tell you anything about the fragrance within the bottle, let’s discuss the bottle. If you already have a lot of bottles of scent, a stunning presentation in the packaging is going to get your attention and it’s pretty obvious from the photo above the the bottle for Hollywood Royal has the “wow!” factor completely under control. In person, this bottle looks even better. The clear glass flacon with shiny gold overlay of stars, and a big, facted clear topper infused with flecks of gold really makes you feel special, pampered, worthy of something amazing.
The inspiration for the fragrance is “rock royalty. Imagine that she’s the daughter of a rock & roll icon and a supermodel (I can’t say who), who knows life only from inside the velvet rope. Oh yes she is a pampered princess!
The story behind the scent (because there’s always a story) is this: “She’s the Hollywood IT girl who surfs the waves by day and walks the red carpet by night. From her L.A. style to her glamorous and fun attitude, she knows how to turn heads while radiating irresistible charm. Everywhere she goes she leaves an unforgettable impression and her signature scent says it all. Modern. Iconic. Hollywood Royal. ”
Guess at who the muse it, then smell the fragrance. You’ll get a surprisingly robust and long lasting fragrance with top notes of Candied Apple, Juicy Pear and Pomelo. The romantic heart is white and floral: jasmine sambac, gardenia Brazil NP and tuberose fleur firnat . Even at drydown I didn’t get a lot of the mid notes in my nostrils, but I did get the bottom notes: Cashmere wood, vanilla, marshmallow and soft musks.
To sum it up, it’s not just another fruity floral, nor it is just vanilla, musk and wood. The person I usually let smell fragrances “blind” to see what the reaction is thought it was almost all woods, but to my nose upon drydown it was less fruit and wood, more vanilla and musk. This only shows that everyone’s sense of smell is different. But we all agreed that this fragrance feels young and sexy, and it lasts. It will make a lovely date night fragrance for women of all ages…I think men are going to want to get close for a sniff. Juicy Couture’s primary demographic audience will relate to it, but fragrance collectors of all types are going to buy it for the bottle too. Hopefully, they’ll spritz it on some skin now and then as it would be a shame to let it all languish unused in the bottle.
