you are my candy girl
and you got me wanting you
The Archies ( byJeff Barry and Andy Kim)
If you were listening to top 40 radio in the 1969 you would have heard the song: “Sugar, Ahh, Honey Honey” by The Archies a lot. The song became #1 on the pop charts in 1969, and sold over six million copies. You might have called it “HoneyMania.”
Now there is “honeymania,” but one that will please your senses a lot more than a top 40 single. The Body Shop’s launch of HONEYMANIA began in September. This honey-themed bath and body collection is sweet news for those who love the smell and benefits of honey. This collection features Community Fair Trade honey from the remote Sheka rainforest in Ethiopia. The honey is organically hand-harvested from only the ripest honeycombs. Honey is known for it’s sweet and delicious taste and aroma (and these can vary depending upon the type of honey you’re tasting or sniffing) but it aso is a natural moisturizer that’s nourishing for skin. And it takes almost 100 bees traveling nearly 1,300 miles (so that they can harvest the nectar from nearly 50,000 flowers), to make one of every product in the HONEYMANIA range.
Honey is one of nature’s little miracles. Just FYI: Honey is good for all skin types, even sensitive skin. It acts as an antibacterial and anti-fungal agent and helps disinfect and speed the healing process of acne. It soaks up impurities and helps detoxify your skin. It has plenty of antioxidants to help restore damaged and wrinkled skin It also leaves skin soft and nourished.
The Body Shop HONEYMANIA line has a number of products, all with beautiful yellow “Honeycomb” graphics (I love The Body Shop labels, they are always so appealing).
