There’s nothing less attractive than brown, stained, or unkempt teeth. Sure, you should visit the dentist regularly for check-ups, but in-between, there are a lot of things you can do to keep your smile, shiny! For example, a good toothbrush (that you use, at least a twice a day) is a no-brainer, must-have.
If you’re the type that needs a little push in the grooming direction, or if you’re already fastidious, but want something easier and more effecrive than hand brushing, try one of the Oral-B Pulsonic Rechargeable Power Toothbrushes. They have a super-slim design, they’re lightweight but easy to grip in your hand, and they are quiet, safe, gentle and pleasant to use. These modern, electric toothbrushes are more than just good to look and and fun to use. They have a “sonic” technology that helps to remove a claimed 97% of plaque from hard to reach areas, while helping to also prevent gingivitis. I can’t quantify either, but electric toothbrushes are definitely much more efficient than the hand-held variety. The brush on these Oral-Bs vibrate to promote naturally whiter teeth, gently polishing off surfaced stains and they have “indicator” bristles that fade when the brush head should be replaced. These high-tech toothbrushes come in a variety of price-points and with various “bells and whistles.” For example, the more advanced (and expensive) brushes offer customized brushing modes to meet your cleaning needs: Clean mode: thoroughly cleanses teeth and gums and Sensitive mode: For the gentle care of your tongue and other sensitive areas. Some of these brushes have electronic displays and other options, but even the simple, basic model that I tried features a 2-minute timer that pluses every 30 seconds to show you when to move the brush through the four quadrants of your mouth, until the recommended, 2-minute brushing time has been reached. I don’t know about you, but two minutes seems like a long time when you’re waiting for those pulses! But if you stick it out, the result is a cleaner mouth, less plaque, and healthier, better looking teeth. That’s a beauty result you definitely want. Another nice feature is the pressure sensor that hesitates slightly and emits a little warning sound, when you’re brushing too hard. There’s also a charge level disply that shows you when the unit is charging on the base, and when it’s fully charged, and when it’s partially charged. These rechargeable units all have a charging station, a toothbrush, and at least one brush head (mine came with two — a single head and a dual-action head). You can buy replacements and additional brush heads for every member of your family.
You can get a decent, manual toothbrush for less, but it’s a lot easier and more effective to “go electric.” Visit the Oral-B web site to learn more about all the Pro-Care electric toothbrushes Oral-BG has to offer. You can also take a little quiz to discover which of these high tech teeth tools is best for you. Between now and September 15 you can save some money (50%) on Oral-B Professional Care Series and Pulsonic Power Brushes by mail-in rebate (up to an $80 savings).
