Do you own handbags your really love, but every time you try to find something in them, it’s a fumble in the jungle of “stuff” all piled in the bottom of the bag? Even worse, do you find that every time you switch handbags, you leave the one thing you thought you had, and really needed, behind? I was one of those women who was always saying: “just a minute…I know it’s in here…” while fumbling for my wallet, my key, or my ringing cell phone. But now I have found some purse organizers that make life easier, and definitely less stressful: Joey Junior Purse Mates. They have organized me with two different sizes of purse organizer inserts, and even a handbag hanger to keep my favorite bags safe from theft and dirty floors, when I go out.
The Joey Junior Original Purse Mate is 5″ x 26″ with six individual pockets, a business card pocket, and a key clip. It has velcro so you can coil it up just the right size to fit in medium to large handbags. Uncoiled, it reminds me of a handyman’s tool belt, with a space for all the “tools” right at hand. When you coil the Joey Junior original up inside your handbag’s main compartment, it’s little pouches work the same way: holding and organizing the items you need where you can see them and grab them, without having to rummage around. The original comes in a classic, cotton-type fabric, or in luxe ultra suede. The ultra suede is particularly great it you’re the type that hate to carry an eyeglass case–the soft fabric will protect the lenses, even if you just popped those glasses into the organizer without a case. Choose from three prints (leopard, zebra, and camouflage), and also in black, tan, red, lagoon blue, pink and orange. Get the one that suits your personality the best (and move it quickly from one handbag to the other), or get a few to blend with the interior of different purses You can even stretch it wide open to fit a tote. Get it in “Classic Fabric” $19.95, or in Luxury Ultra Suede $24.95
The Mini Joey is a petite 4 1/4″ x 7 1/2 ” version of the organizer, for small handbags. it has four pockets and a key clip. I particularly like it in the luxe, ultra suede fabric in black, brown, red or tan. This little organizer folds flat for when it isn’t in use, although I’m willing to bet it won’t be folded on your shelf very often! Get it in Classic Fabric $14.95, or Luxury Ultra Suede $19.95
If you’re the type that can’t travel light, use your Joey Junior for the things you really need to find in a hurry, and pile all your non-essentials into the bottom of your bag where you probably don’t access them as frequently. Purse organizers are not a new idea, but these are particularly nicely done.
TIP: For a little thing that adds a bit of glamour and makes a lot of sense, you also need a Joey Junior Foldable Purse Hanger $19.95. The little metal hanger unfolds from a velvety pouch, and hangs from a non-slip cushioned pad, from most tables ledges. This one has an additional feature I really like: a little pin that pulls out to extend the width, so you can use it on thicker tabletops. Hang your bag on the hooked end, in plain sight off the floor and away from theives. It weighs less than 2 oz., but it is mightly, holding up to 17 pounds. It folds absolutely flat, about the size of a half dollar. There are five different colors of crystal “jewel” decorating the top, with a starry circle of clear “jewels” surrounding the large one. Mine, in clear and silver, makes an elegant statement and gets comments, whenever I take it out and use it.
