Looking for great skincare? Kiehl’s “kick-ass” products work fabulously well
Kiehl’s has been around since 1851, so they know what they’re doing when it comes to skincare. so, happy 10th anniversary to one of my favorite products, the Kiehl’s ‘Powerful Strength’ Line Reducing Concentrate (1.7 oz$58.00 or 2.5 oz. $77.00) and say hello to the new, Powerful-Strength Line-Reducing Eye-Brightening Concentrate ($44.00 0.5 fl. oz. ) are two serum powerhouses that offer you a high concentration of pure vitamin C (10.5%), Vitamin C packs a punch against the signs of aging. The Eye-Brightening Concentrate also has Haloxyl, which strengthens, soothes and brightens the eye area, helping to eliminate dark circles
If you want effective serums (and these are reasonably-priced), understand that the key ingredient of Pure Vitamin C. may take a few weeks to work, but it can and it will. The water, oil, fragrance, and colorant-free serums can be used under your moisturizer, and also on skin that’s sensitive or irritated. There’s a lot of “Good stuff” in the amber plastic pump bottles. Tip: Vitamin C products don’t stay powerful forever. Buy it and use it up.
For the men in your life who wouldn’t normally consider beauty products, we suggest the Kiehl’s Ultimate Strength Hand Salve offering a Regular edition ($22.00 5 fl. oz. tube, $15.00 2.5 fl. oz) or while supplies last, spring for the even larger Limited Edition Hand Salve that supports AMFAR ($28.50 7.8 fl. oz.) This no-nonsense cream is thick and moisturizing, and offers all day comfort that works amazingly well and quickly on very dry, active hands. The formula, especially great for people who do industrial or manual work, lets the skin draw and absorb water from the air, and then protects it with a “glove–like” protective barrier against moisture loss. Key ingredints include a blend of botanical oils and natural wax derived from Olive Oil to soothe, moisturize, and condition skin. This products is soothing and comforting but not greasy — you don’t have to be an outdoorsman (or woman) to love it. *the limited edition jumbo size tube has a red cap and for each limited edition purchased, Kiehl’s will donate 100% of net profits, up to $25,000, to amfAR, the foundation for AIDS research. Another great reason to buy a bunch!
Holiday Joy! For those who love Kiel’s Creme de Corps, holiday time brings special treats. Kiehl’s continues its philanthropic tradition by offering the 7th annual, limited edition Crème de Corps Holiday Collection. The 2015 label is a collaboration with New York-based designers Jeffrey Costello and Robert Tagliapietra who have collaborated with Uniqlo, Peanuts and Disney, as well as being featured in the permanent collections of The Victoria & Albert Museum and The Museum at FIT. The label is a colorful melange of people, bird, animals and even a Kiehl’s product!
The trio of Creme de corps skincare moisturizing treats are great gifts, and even better, Kiehl’s will be donating 100% of net profits from the sale of these super-hydrators *up to $100,000 to provide 1,000,000 meals to families this holiday season through Feeding America, the nation’s leading domestic hunger-relief charity.
My personal favorite is the Creme de Corps ($38.00 8 oz. jar). The whipped formula is so decadent and seriously rich in hydration it turns tortured dry, itchy skin back into silk almost instantly with 24-hour hydration without greasiness, parabens, glycols or silicones. The pump bottle (16.9 fl. oz) or flip top cap bottle (8.4 fl. oz) of the Creme de Corps Lotion not only makes Winter skin more bearable, it is a beloved favorite of both men and women. You can’t go wrong gifting this to either.
The collection is available now at participating Kiehl’s stores and on Kiehls.com
