Travel With Tranquility, Be Calm Everywhere With These Two Lavender-Centric Items
By Alison Blackman
Lavender is known for it’s calming aromatherapy benefits. But it is also a lovely fragrance to wear for Spring and Summer.
Here’s how I survived my last trip and stayed (relatively) calm not to mention smelled great, thanks to beautifully lavender-scented products from Soap & Paper Factory, and Elemis:
Part I – Soap & Paper Factory Mini Rollerball Perfumes ($16)
My trip began with a car service driver who spoke absolutely no English. He showed up 20 minutes late.
I couldn’t tell him and he couldn’t figure out how to get me to the airport by detouring when the normal route was a literal parking lot, and I’d lost all the wiggle room I’d built in already.
I got there with minutes to spare. I ran to the check in desk, literally breathless.
I made it, but the plane hadn’t. My flight had just been canceled.
I stood in a huge line of anxious people hoping to re-book.
My heart was pounding.
I had someplace tI had to be, but that was looking less and less likely.
It was very clear that the desk agent was clearly overwhelmed. The only word he seemed to know was “no.”
Fortunately, I’d put a Soap & Paper Factory Mini Rollerball Perfume Oil ($16 1/3 fl. ounce) in Lavender in my purse.
I rubbed some on my temples and wrists, inhaling the scent of lavender (with a hint of bergamot and clove).
The scent calmed me so I could think more clearly about a plan of action (and I smelled great).
I kept smiling….I blocked out his negativity. I got a flight out!
The perfume oil is highly concentrated, so you don’t need much.
Ingredients are simple: Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride (Coconut Oil), Fragrance (Parfum), Linalool.
Other fragrances in available are Verbena, Green Tea, Jasmine, and Gardenia, but the long lasting calming lavender fragrance kept me grounded, while I was, in fact, grounded!

Part II – Elemis Quiet Mind Temple Balm:
Of course, you try to stay calm when things stress you out, but when all else fails and you really need to “find your zen” there’s nothing better than ELEMIS Quiet Mind Temple Balm ($30)
..so here’s what happened next on my journey:
Finally, on the plane (6 hours later) I found myself surrounded by “teenage revelers.”
I was helpless….tired and agitated, but there was nowhere to move, I was stuck!
Fortunately, I had yet another lavender-centric powerhouse product to calm me.
I pumped a little of my Elemis Quiet Mind Temple Balm out onto my fingertips and massaged the calming scent into my temples.
I tried to relax, wearing noise-canceling earbuds (never leave home without them)!
While tranquility wasn’t assured, the fragrance kept me from losing my cool (these days you might get thrown off a flight, for less)!

For an ordinary day:
Of course, not every trip is terrible, but any day can be stressful.
