CK one Summer is a bright and happy fragrance, as succulent blend of citrus in a gradated, citrus orange and yellow bottle. The scent starts out fresh and fruity, but has a surprise drydown. The fruity top notes include succulent pear, mandarin and kaffir lime leaves. The heart is light and watery: violet leaves, crisp verbena and water lily. But the drydown adds a light touch of vetiver, patchouli and cedarwood that instantly subdues the fruits and flowers, making it more masculine in feeling. CK one Summer can please both girls and boys, men and women, and it makes everyone feel good.
The CK One bottle reminds me of an old-time elixir bottle, with it’s spray diffuser packaged alongside the bottle itself. The bottle design is re-imagined for summer, with a coppery top and gradated packaging of orange and yellow, along with a sun glare graphic design on both carton and bottle that is reminiscent of the hot rays of the sun.
This is a limited edition that is perfect for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, a new graduate, or for yourself “just because.” This is the sort of scent that pleases everyone…but like the Summertime, it’s only here for a short while. The Eau de Toilette spray 3.4 fl oz/100ml is $44.00 at selected department stores. For more information please visit http://www.calvinkleinfragrances.com/
