Rose Girls at Lord & Taylor’s re-launch by alison blackman

Whether you’re planning an intimate Valentine’s day or evening with the love of your life, or spending it with Fido the dog, pampering is the order of the day!  And I can’t think of a better way to pamper than with a rose-themed product. The most romantic flower of all is the Rose! Red roses signify love and passion, and there are wonderful meanings attached to other colors of the rose as well (see below this review).

A rose-themed skin care line that you might consider as part of your pampering routine every day, is Lily.B Their products contain Rose Hip Oil, a natural ingredients that can balance, protect and soothe all types of skin.  I tried an excellent, Foaming Facial Wash for $28.50 4 fl. oz.  The white pump bottle with hot pink and black accents (seen behind the SPF tube on it’s side in the photo)  looks girly, and I love foaming liquid soaps! Instead of a drippy, liquid soap, you get a light froth of white foam that is not only fun to use, but economical since air is pumped into the product and you need less of it.  This particular Facial Wash has the added benefit of being lightly scented like a tea rose — not overpowering, just like a quick whiff of a rose bouquet. It is lovely!  But there is nothing lightweight or girly about the fact that this is a good and thorough facial wash with skin-loving benefits. It’s infused with the natural antioxidant power of rose hip to protect, balance and soothe; and olive oil to gently cleanse and exfoliate. After using it, my skin felt clean, and soft, and somehow, smoother. The cleanser also removes all but the most stubborn makeup in seconds. You can get a cheaper facial wash, but certainly not one like this

…and if you’re up for a brand-new facial collection, you can get the Lily.B  skincare collection for $188.50. While it’s good for all skin types and targets 30-something skin that isn’t quite ready for heavy anti-aging ingredients, each product in the Collection works together and is designed to help improve your skin’s quality including tone, texture, clarity, and softness, while protecting it from the harmful effects of environmental exposure…..to sun, stress, pollution.  I haven’t tried the rest of the collection, but based on my experience with the facial wash, I’d recommend it!

Ready to pamper yourself with the power of rose hips?   Lily.B products are available at http://www.lilybskincare.com/

….re-tweet this or send the link to that special someone and hopefully you will get roses in the colors you really want!
