Two little Luxuries, one for lips, the other for hips!
Perhaps the title of this post is a little off-base, because the bath foam I’m featuring below isn’t just for your hips, it’s for your whole body. If I got your attention, I’m ok with the silly little rhyme. But not so silly is the lack of cheer in a season that is full of sunshine and promise. Sometimes, you just need a pick-me-up. You don’t have to spend a lot (although you can splurge a little) to feel like you’ve pampered yourself. Here are two beautifying suggestions that are totally luxurious, but not totally crazy, budget-wise. Pick one or both, and smile!
The arrival of the cherry blossoms are a celebratory time in Japan, but also in the United States. The beautiful pink flowers with their delicate fragrance remind us of the awakening of Earth, once again. Be inspired every day with something quite lovely and unique — the Rituals Sakura collection blends the sweetness of Cherry Blossom with nourishing Organic Rice Milk, in an effort to make each day feel like a new beginning. The collection of must-have cherry blossom based bath and body products from Rituals, including the: Zensation shower foam, Magic Touch body cream, Sakura Scrub, and Sakura Spring shower oil.
I tried the Rituals Zensation Shower Foam ($15.00) — a gel to foam shower item in a can with a nozzle top that’s not just fun to use, but has that lovely, delicate, cherry blossom fragrance. It also has rice milk, a natural ingredient that nourishes the skin. Your skin will feel soft and hydrated, but it also will feel clean. Massage some into your skin and watch it foam (a little goes a long way). Savor the scent, i will make you just feel happy and feel pampered every day, no matter what the season.
You can buy wanded lip glosses in all sorts of price points, but if you want one that really does wonderful things for your lips, as well as provide long lasting tint, indulge in one of Sara Happ’s One Luxe Gloss’s two colors and you might just find true love. The glosses are not quite nude, but they’re subtle with a lot of light reflecting glam. Try a light pink (the Pink Slip) or beige-y nude (The Nude Slip) . When they slide on your lips you’ll know they’re something special. Lips look moist and pouty, but not overdone. Amazingly, even though my lips were very chapped when I tested the One Luxe Gloss, they immediately smoothed out and felt and looked much, much better. The more I use these gloss/balms, the better my actual lips, become!
Sara Happ has a product called the Lip Slip that is a super-powered lip balm, infused with Sweet Almond, Jojoba and Macadamia nut oils, with a polymer blend that took 2 years to perfect. The Lip Slip is a clear balm in a jar, but it’s also in he One Luxe Gloss, too. Wear the gloss “as-is” for a light Springtime look during the day, and try them as a night-time moisturizing treatment, too. Sarah Happ One Luxe Gloss really is “luxe” at $24.00 but well worth it!
