If there’s one type of gift that suits just about everyone, it’s yummy-scented body products. Guys and girls alike will spread the news (by social media, perhaps) that LUSH has a nifty gift of vanilla and marzipan (that’s sweet almond for those of you not familuar).
For someone who loves the net, and social media, Lush’s Christmas Tweets ($27.95) is a cute collection of delicious smelling confections that make the holidays more relaxing, pampering, and definitely, more fun. inside a hard-sided box that comes beautifully wrapped with green little birds on snow-covered branches, on a blue background, and tied with a red ribbon, are four delectable bath and body treats. While the “treats” are themed like sweets, none of the scents are remotely like the chemically, overly sweetened candy scents you might think of when you hear about vanilla, almond, nuts or toffee scents. These are sophisticated and unisex.
First up, a snowflake soap, that smells like an almond cake, and smooths onto your skin like almond mousse.
There’s a “Vanilla Fountain” bath bomb that looks a little bit like a yellow “bomb” with a fuse, but it’s actually a vanilla fudge and cinder toffee-scented fizzy bath ball.
Another Bath Bomb called “Pud” (for pudding) looks like a pudding, smells spicy, and fizzes in your bath to make it extra-special. Dare I suggest you share “Pud” with your top “Facebook” friend?
Finally, there’s a 1.5 oz. pump bottle of Smitten Hand Cream. It’s got almond oil and chamomile cream and smells, well. it’s supposed to smell nutty, but to me it smelled more subdued, and a bit dusty. Guys will like this one, too.
Just so you know: what makes LUSH even more unusual is their policies. Their products are made from fresh, organic* fruit and vegetables, and essential oils and safe synthetics. There are even expiration dates on every product telling you who made it. They use only vegetarian ingredients, buy those ingredients only from companies that do not commission tests on animals, and seem to really care about their customers.
Please visit http://www.lushusa.com/ to get your Christmas Tweets, and tons of other, affordably priced, beautifully wrapped, thoughtful gifts. Don’t forget to buy a “little something” for yourself, too!
