The Lacquer CabinetTM Introduces the Nail It! for Nailtini® Collection
Did you always want to mix your own special color of nail polish? Well, it’s easy to do it when you have the right tools, and good base products to work with. But where would you get those? No reason to wonder! Nailtini, who knows how to create on-trend nail colors that you’ll want to wear straight out of the bottle, has made nail obsessed afficiando’s mixology dreams come true by providing a service that offers 3 limited edition colors per month and something extra…two empty mini bottles in which you can create your own shades.” This service, “The NailTini Lacquer Cabinet” (see prices below) offers monthly limited-edition lacquer collections curated by top nail and beauty experts.
The one I tried is “Nail It!” from Beauty Director of Nail It!, Karie L. Frost featuring blue, green and gold (think: mermaid). “Blue Magic” is a rich, almost velvety medium blue that is as bright as a bluebell. “Accomplice” is a semi-sheer wash of mostly gold, holographic shimmer,. And because texture is so important in Fall (and in Spring 2015) nail looks, “RITZ Fizz” is a sheer teal green polish full of chunky bits of teal and gold glitter. You can use these any way you wish, either layering them or wearing hem “as-is” or with other nail colors that you own, and you can create infinite looks. But what makes this particular set so special is that you can also create your own “NailTini cocktail” of colors once you’ve made the combo you love….and then you’ll be able to use it any tine you wish. You also get a nail file.
If the idea of mixing and layering seems too daunting, even with just three colors and three different formulas to work with, here are some tips:
- Accomplice’s transformation is most apparent on darker cream shades – navy, wine, black. Try a stripe down the center of darkly painted nails for an even more chameleon-like effect.
- Ritz Fizz doubles as a great topper for an accent nail, tip or half moon over a Blue Magic mani.
- try a negative space “Naked Nail” mani (as seen on the Spring 2015 runways such as Zimmermann) and worn a half moon of a color on the side of your nail (not on the cuticle)
- Shades with contrasting iridescence are perfect for glitter applique. When polish is almost dry, use fingertip to dab loose glitter at base or tip of nail and gently blend
