Recently, I got a unique chance to visit Revlon’s Corporate offices, and check out the new products that will be launching for the 2nd half of 2010. One of the unique, limited editions that you can enjoy right now is the Revlon Scents of Summer Nail Polish Collection ($4.79 each)
Eight sexy shades from trendy green and turquoise shimmer, to more classic pinks, corals, and nudes, have a secret: they exude a specific, Summer-oriented scent after they’ve dried!
No, you didn’t read that incorrectly. The fragrance really lasts quite a while, too. Some of very sheer, some creamy, some shimmery, they all have something in common: the nail polishes are infused with some of the scents we associate with Summertime.
Apparently Revlon had a set of limited edition polishes like these, last year. Alas, I didn’t know about them, and I just learned that the 2010 collection is limited edition (just through July). They are so much fun, but they’ve been on the market for a few months already. If you want them, RUN and get them before they’re sold out!!!
The sheer wash of lime green shimmer is called “Beach” because it really does smell like suntan lotion and the beach!
Deep, shimmery and turquoise “Ocean Breeze” dries to that fresh scent.
“Peach Smoothie” is a very soft wash of semi-sheer peach that follows the nude, natural trend, and it smells faintly of peaches. You can’t get much sexier than that!
Bold, creamy, bright “Bubble Gum” is a rich, hot pink that make Double Bubble or Bazooka, look tame. It smells like the gum, of course.
Do you love gummy treats? “Gum Drop” is a sheer, pastel lilac that smells faintly like the real thing.
For those with warm toned skin, “Orange Pop” is a bold, creamy coral with lots of shimmer that looks amazing with a deep tan, but also brightens up pale skin.
Sheer, pink “Cotton Candy” is a sheer pink — until you get up close to polished nails, and you realize this polish smells just like the spun sugar treat it is named for!
Fun and modern is “Grape Icy,” a sheer wash of grape that looks amazingly pretty on nails, and gives toes a fun finish. Alas, if you put it just on your toes, you won’t get to smell that delicious, grape ice scent (unless you are a contortionist) so wear it on all your nails!
Get Revlon Scents of Summer Nail Polish at drug stores and mass market retailers. You can learn more about Revlon on their web site.
