“Genesis” mean origin or beginning, a fitting description for the Skin Genesis skincare line from L’Oreal, created to take on the signs of aging with technologically-advanced formulas. These face-saving products at budget-friendly prices are The Advice Sisters products of the week!
The products in this line look sleek and modern, housed in slim, clear plastic pump bottles with silver rings and wide white pump top. But the featured ingredient in all of the Skin Genesis products is a sugar-derived molecule from the beech wood plant that is able to penetrate the layers of the skin. It provides the excitement (and the results) in the Skin Genesis products. This exclusive L’Oreal Molecule called “Pro-Xylane + Hyaluronic spheres” strengthens skin and improves the performance of cell activity layer by layer to strengthen and moisturize skin at all levels. Hyaluronic acid plumps skin from within, literally. Mixed together, the Skin Genesis products actually strengthen and moisturize your skin, making it stronger, firmer, and smoother.
The Skin Genesis Multi-Layer Cell Strengthening Daily Treatment Serum Concentrate $24.99 1.7 oz. (silver tube) was a 2008 CEW (Cosmetic Executive Women) award finalist this year. I liked this silicone-based serum that instantly gave my skin a smoother feel and kept my makeup from looking dry and flaky (a plus in Winter and Summer). This is best I think for normal to dry skin (if yours is oily, use a bit more sparingly).
The Skin Genesis Multi-Layer Cell Strengthening Daily Moisturizer $24.99 1.7 oz. (pink tube) is oil-free, so it’s great for all skin types. This moisturizer is one of three in the line (so get the one that best suits your skin). You can’t help but like the silky, gel-liked quality. This one helps even out skin tone with light-reflective qualities and it helped to minimize the look of large pores. It has the exclusive, Pro-Xylane + Hyaluronic spheres as well, to help your complexion and make it softer, more resilient, and younger-looking, longer (over time).
This line is really meant for skin that’s still in fairly youthful shape. Seriously mature or damaged skin may need extra TLC…for many 20-50 somethings however, these do a great job without putting a huge dent in your beauty budget
