Good makeup primers can really save face–yours!
Whether it’s a morning-to-midnight day on the go, or one of those days where perfectly applied makeup makes a difference, I’ve learned that makeup primers are essential. It’s foolish to pass up this important step in makeup application.
If you are thinking “who needs this?” let me assure you, it’s not just performer (e.g. Lady Gaga) that use them. I used to think a facial primer was optional and probably just one more product that I would spend money on but didn’t need and wouldn’t use. But I was totally wrong! But you don’t really how much you need one until you try one ..and then you understand. A good primer smooths your skin to make a better canvas on which to apply all your makeup, and it will smooth and event skin, even correct some issues, so that your skin is perfectly prepped for makeup application. A good primer keeps that makeup looking good for hours.
Most primers go on under your foundation (or on bare skin) to make your skin look nearly flawless although some are meant to be used over makeup as well, to set it and refresh it. One brand, Skindinavia, has two major essential for your consideration, and both come in oil-free versions as well. There is also a Makeup Finishing Spray| Bridal that supposedly resists moisture for a photo-ready look. I didn’t try this one or the oil-free versions of the other primers. Based on my experience with the primers for normal skin, I’m sure they’re excellent. If these primers also had SPF 30 or more, it would be fabulous, but they don’t, so you will have to add a sun screen or makeup with sun protection in it.
And all the Skindinavia face sprays are cruelty-free, paraben-free and hypo- allergenic. You can use it on your eye makeup, too. The mist is formulated for sensitive skin and is dermatologist and allergy tested. To use any and all, shake the bottle, then hold the product about 6-8 inches away from your face and spray 2-4 times in a “T” formation and then an “X.” Do this once and you should be covered — you won’t even notice it but it will be there, working hard for you!
What I like so much about the Skindinavia primers are that they’re invisible, not sticky, they don’t have any obnoxious fragrance, they are clean and easy to apply and they really work! The feature is Skindinavia’s vitamin-based formula that (the company) says is “clinically proven to reduce redness and diminish the appearance of fine lines” anda CB30 Thermal Control Blend to control the surface temperature of your makeup, so it resists drying, fading, and creasing. It also has CHO89; a color dispersing technology that helps you blend your makeup and correct imperfections even after you’ve applied it. The info-graphic above shows you how the COOL science behind Skindinavia products, works.
With heat and humity at high levels, primers are essential Summer beauty tools, but you’ll want to use these Skindinavia primers all year long. To learn more and order yours visit http://skindinavia.com/
