At an Editor’s showcase a while back, I learned about the Artisan Exchange , a group of artistic entrepreneurs whoshowcase and market their handcrafted products as a community. Over the past few months, I’ve included some of their jewelry in the gift guides that The Advice Sisters published during the holiday season (to find these items type “Artisan Exchange” into the search box at the top of this page).
One of the talented designers I didn’t include, because I didn’t have any samples of her work, was Tara Reid, a young jewelry designer from Ontario Canada. She’s also a wife and a mother. When she contacted sent me this lovely little pendant she calls her “Purple Simple Necklace” I thought it was the perfect romantic gift for Valentine’s Day. This delicate, one of a kind piece is hand made of a small, faceted amethyst wrapped in a collar of thin silver wire, topped with a crown of faceted pink amethyst beads, and the pendant is suspended from a delicate sterling silver chain. it’s a romantic little accessory that is just $40.00 so totally affordable. It’s the kind of gift that says : “I’m thinking of you” or “I like you” or “I love you” and it is proof positive that something beautiful and unique doesn’t have to break your budget to become a treasure. I was really enchanted by it!
