“on the 11th day of Christmas, my true love gave me to me….”
the next line should be….
“….at least one of the 11 pieces of Stila’s Artistry (Collection)!”
NO matter what size the gift, if it’s from STILA, it’s going to be coveted. The 2013 gift-ables from Stila are inspired by art and artists, with art-centric themes. Eleven holiday offerings are treasures both big — the Stila Artist’s Signature Set ($185.00) and petite — quintets of lip, eye or blush ($16.00)
The gift set the Advice Sisters was sent by Stila to check out was the Stila Masterpiece Series Eye & Cheek Palettes ($39.00 –a $117.00 value). This set includes a trio of little “books” with glossy, colorful glossy covers each featuring an artiist’s palettes hinting at the colors inside. All three are house inside a hard sided cardboard sleeve. each little book contains a collection of eye and cheek products pressed into adorable, paper palettes. The set reminds me of the little books we used to love as kids, but these are definitely all grown up, with wearable, high performance cosmetics! The Impresseionist and The Modernist each contain a glittery shadow for holiday parties. The minimalist features more neutral, daytime tones.
Volume I – The Minimalist ; neutrals): natural light, simplicity, elegance, subtlety, balance / Cheek: harmony
Volume II – The Impressionist (blues/purples); Eye Shadows: canvas, pastel, vision, watercolor, movement / Cheek: parisian pink
Volume III – The Modernist ((plums/mauves); Eye Shadows: glaze, avant-garde, mondrian, abstract, charcoal / Cheek: nouveau
Also included is a book of easy-to-use tips & tricks written by Stila’s Global Executive Director of Creative Artistry, Sarah Lucero. Each palettes has two looks, milder and wilder. But these little palettes may just bring out the “creative” in you.
This set would be so perfect for travel, because you could bring one, two or all three depending upon how long you were going to be away. And I’m not suggesting that you break up the set, but if you’re really strapped for cash and you have three great friends who you want to show some love to this holiday season, each little “book” could stand on it’s own as a fab gift idea, with its five shadows and blush in a palette slim enough to slip into a handbag. Just sayin…
No matter what your budget, any of Stila’s other gift sets would be great, too. All are little works of covet-able art that will make you and your lucky recipients look beautiful throughout the holidays and into 2014.
