Cosmetics should be fun, don’t you think? But they should also be flattering. Maybelline is always coming up with new, affordable, fun to use products that flatter and of course, at great prices. If you hurry, you can still grab a handful of Great Lash Limited edition mascaras ($6.40) in six fun-tastic shades: Green with Envy; I see Blue; So Very Berry; Teal Appeal; Vision in Violet and Wink of Pink. I tried all except for the last one. For starters, Maybelline is beloved for Great Lash Mascara but these limited edition colored mascaras are not quite the same as Great Lash. They really don’t thicken or lengthen lashes as much as they coat them in gorgeous, intense color. Trendy colors! Any one of these will upgrade your eye look with a slightly edgy, but still appropriate for the daytime, appeal. If your lashes are very light and you use one of these mascaras (for example, the green or teal–my favorites) , you’ll find they are quite nicely coated with the color of your choice. If your lashes are dark, you’ll get more the the kind of effect you get from subtle highlights in your hair (try pink or berry for a pretty accent). You will see the color, especially on your eyelash tips. If you just want more subtle color, use a base coat of a light brown mascara, then layer one of these new mascaras on top. It’s probably one of the most fun things you can do for your face, for under $6.50! You can find these limited edition mascaras at select mass retailers nationwide but only for the month of August. RUN and get yours before they’re all gone! For more information you can also visit: www.maybelline.com/
