I Can See Clearly Now: Toilet Tree LED Mirror Makes it Easy, a review by Alison Blackman, Editor in Chief, advicesisters.com
When I first heard the company name Toilet Tree, I thought it was a strange name for a designer and manufacturer of bath products. Somehow, I didn’t get that the name was a take off of ” toiletries.” But you won’t be as dense as I was, I’m sure! The company makes all sorts of interesting products for bathrooms including speakers, skin care tools, toothbrushes, trimmers, and bath caddies, and more. One item that caught my eye was the Toilet Tree LED 7x Magnified Makeup Mirror with Cosmetic Organizer Base ($49.95).
As someone who has a pair of glasses in her night-stand she can find by touch, because she can’t find her glasses without glasses, putting on makeup, tweezing eyebrows, making a straight line with eye liner, or doing anything that requires close work such as smoothing out makeup or getting rid of makeup flakes, is impossible without my glasses. Of course, with my glasses, it’s impossible, too! So the LED 7X mafnified makeup mirror that lights up seemed like a solution. When I look into the mirror, whether I choose to press the button to light it (thanks to three AAA batteries, not included) or use it as-is, I can see every pore, every blemish and every imperfection. But I also can see well enough without my glasses to do close work safely and efficiently. The LED ring around the mirror provides a natural lighting that illuminates your face without casting shadows. The fact that there is also a convenient base with 9 small compartments to hold tweezers, and my favorite beauty products at the ready is useful and it doesn’t take up a ton of room. Since the unit is cordless, I can take it from my bathroom to my bedroom to my desk, or anywhere I need extra light and magnification. If I had the room in my suitcase, I’d even consider dismantling the mirror from the base (it just pulls out) and even bringing this unit on vacation!
Turn on (literally) to a magnified mirror and you’ll finally be able to see everything on your face. That might be a less than glamorous proposition, but that’s what a magnifying mirror is for…to give you an idea of what’s there you might miss without magnification, so you can fix it! If you wear glasses and have struggled to apply makeup or do any close work, you’ll love this, but it’s just wonderful for anyone who really wants to get an up close and personal look at their face. It’s not a “high tech”item, and it can make a huge difference in how you look, and therefore, your confidence level.
