The free music festival has had it’s ups and downs in the past few years, but one of the things that makes Milford special is the free or affordable range of cultural activities, including the Black Bear Film Festival in the Fall.
I didn’t stay all day (I had chores!) and I didn’t get back to hear the also free music in the park on Sunday (Milford hosts free music every weekend during the Summer at the Park’s Bandshell). I did her another impressive set, by Roots N Rhythm (Bashiri Johnson, best known for his work with Whitney Houston, Eric Clapton, and Miles Davis wasn’t able to perform with Jah Stix because he had been recruited for Michael Jackson’s touring band). Their reggae-inspired version of ‘House of the Rising Sun” was unique!
