Dr. Zein E. Obagi (a Board-Certified Diplomat of the American Board of Dermatology and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology). Now Dr. Obagi is talking about ZO Skin Health, serious skincare that aggressively fights aging with a combination of innovative technology, powerful ingredients, and luxurious formulas. The doctor believes you have to have (or restore) you skin to health before you can really see skin vitality. ZO Skin Health products say that they can create change at the cellular level; re-energize aging skin and constantly stimulate cellular function; saturate skin with stabilized retinol plus advanced peptides and powerful anti-oxidants for continuous stimulation and repair; diminish the look of fine lines and wrinkles; improve tone and texture and increase skin firmness and elasticity; and calm your skin from the constant activation and stimulation with anti-inflammatory and anti-irritant agents. That’s an impressively tall order.
Normally, I’d be dubious, but the Zo Oclipse Suncreen-Primer SPF 30 $65.00 1 fl. oz is a high end, multi-tasking product that really impressed me. The smooth-as-silk, sheer, tinted product is so lightweight you won’t even know you have it on and I like the delivery system: a twist up/down bottle that is clean and dispenses just the right amount of product. It contains Vitamin E, the antioxidant most frequently recommended by dermatologists to fight free radicals and repair damaged skin cells. Silicone lubricates and leaves a soft finish ideal for priming the skin. Proprietary Lipopeptide stimulates collagen and elastin, and humectants and emollients make skin feel soft and smooth. This great-for-your-skin product also is a great tinted primer, but it is also an effective, UVA/UVB sun block thanks to Zinc Oxide and Titanium Dioxide. Even those who are SPF averse will find something (or lots of things) to like about this product. I’d call this one of my Summer “must-haves.” It’s a bit of a splurge, but it does so much, it’s well worth the cost.
